1957 Chevrolet Bel Air - $49,900 - Braselton, GA -

1957 Chevrolet Bel Air Hard Top Coupe

Presenting the epitome of The Classic Chevy!
The most loved and most widely recognized Iconic American Car ever...

When you walk up to one of the most collectible post war cars ever made, you'll feel a special kind of pride.
Pride that comes from knowing that this Incredible machine was designed and created with American ingenuity and built by hand back before computers and robots took over the car building industry.

Her Stunning Imperial Ivory exterior has been refinished with an OEM Single Stage Acrylic Urethane to give outstanding gloss, depth, chemical resistance and durability.
She has been Garage Kept and hasn't seen rain since she was purchased 10 years ago.

One look at this beauty will have you grinning ear to ear.
Haven't you always loved those '57 hood wind splits?
Pop open her hood to find one heck of an attractive original looking engine bay.Walk around to her rear and gently run your fingers along her rear fins capped with chrome moldings and highlighted with the unmistakably '57 anodized aluminum side trim panels.
Just imagine seeing this Classic American Masterpiece parked in your garage.

If you prefer the stock look, you will love this beauty.
Keeping an original appearance was the main focus on her Frame-Off Restoration.
Her engine is the correct size 283cu.in. V8, but it is from a 1966 Chevelle.
Her OE air cleaner is mounted on a Rochester 2 Jet 2GV Carburetor which is mounted on an adapter connecting her to a Holley 4bbl Intake Manifold.
She has classic "Power Pack" Cylinder Heads, 2.5" Rams Horn Exhaust Manifolds and an updated Dual Exhaust to increase her horsepower.

Her Alternator is made to look stock with a Power Master Generator cover.
Her Blower Motor is original.
Her Radiator and hoses are stock style.
Even her battery is the stock style.
The only parts that show that her engine bay has been updated are her Power Assist Brakes and a reservoir tank.

Now walk around to the Driver's door.
Lightly push that little button on the door with your thumb and feel how easily she opens up to welcome you inside.
Her Red and White interior is Spacious and Comfortable.
Slide smoothly into her original driver's seat that has been freshly upholstered in a vibrant Red vinyl.

As you gently grasp her new classic style steering wheel, let your eyes wander to her Original Instrument Pods.
Her Instrumentation is original with the exception of a modern Stuart Warner water temperature gauge under her dash.
She has her original Vent/Heat/Defroster controls and a Chevy Classic FM/AM Cassette Stereo set into her Torch Red dash with correct dash panel insert.

Turn her key in the ignition to hear her freshly rebuilt 283 V8 engine rumble to life.
Shift her rebuilt THM 350 into gear and get ready to enjoy a smooth ride.
She shifts cleanly and handles beautifully. This timeless beauty actually handles better than new and in 1957 the Bel Air was Award Winning for Handling and Maneuverability!
The '57s remarkable handling is due to the factory placing the engine behind the centerline of the front wheels.
Her engine placement combined with her Saginaw Steering box, Power Assisted Disc front brakes with Solid Steel Rotors, Low Slung chassis, a correct non-positraction 10 bolt Rear End with 3.08:1 axle ratio, Front Glide-Ride Spherical Joint design with Coil-Over shocks, and rear "Outrigger" Leaf Springs with Max-Air shocks make this baby an absolute Joy to drive!

- The '57 Chevrolet also won a disproportionate amount of demolition derbies: With the radiator set back from the grille, the car was difficult to disable.
The additional advantage of having the last double lined trunk, coupled with a strong frame, made it a surprisingly common winner in the demolition derbies during the late 1960s and early 1970s.There is no denying that inside and out the '57 Chevy Bel Air Hard Top Coupe is a highly collectible, Iconic American Masterpiece.

1956 Chevrolet Bel Air - $28,900 - Grand Rapids, MI -

GR Auto Gallery is pleased to present this 1956 Chevrolet Bel Air Hardtop Coupe for purchase. The 2nd generation of the Bel Air's among automotive geeks is known for the milestones it accomplished mechanically, but these are overshadowed by the iconic 50's styling it possesses. The Bel Air body is one of the most popular collector cars today as either stock examples or resto-mods. With more popularity amongst those true post-war automobile lovers and with one of the largest cult following, the Bel Air stands as one of the most recognizable models in existence!

This particular 1956 Bel Air is a good example of that 50's era style with a few modern upgrades to enhance the driving experience! From the outside you see the popular two-tone paint completed with the red and white color scheme, the chrome bumpers shine brightly and go well with the American Racing wheels added to it. From the interior you see a lot of the originality with a very original looking dash and steering wheel but you also find some upgrades including a CD player for your music needs and a B&M shifter. The car is believed to come from South Carolina and shows in good condition from its better weather past. Mechanically this vehicle is quite sound and with intentions to drive it, the previous owner upgraded the brakes to power discs all around and put some air shocks on the rear to help with the smooth feel. A great find for those who are looking for something to drive and enjoy, this vehicle is ready to become your new favorite hobby! Call or email us soon for more information!

1957 Chevrolet Bel Air - $57,995 - Concord, NC -

Stk. 1904  1957 Chevrolet Bel Air

Every classic car has a story behind it…and so does this stunning example. Originally built in Atlanta, Georgia as a VC code Bel Air Sport Coupe, it was painted India Ivory and Onyx Black over a 676 Black and Red trim interior. It eventually shipped to a Chevy dealer in Troy, NC; where our first owner promptly purchased it.  He drove and maintained it right up to the point where he could drive no more. The car sat for twenty-six years in the original owner's garage until he passed away where it eventually passed into the custody of a trusted friend. When that friend decided to sell the Bel Air to our third and current owner, it had accumulated only 68,532 original miles. After coming out of such a long slumber, the new owner decided to give this Chevy a complete and thorough make-over. The Asheboro Body Shop and Junior Needham were given the nod to perform the frame-on restoration. The undercarriage was in wonderful condition and the body required very minor metal work to its lower panels…so the next step was to media blast the entire shell down to bare metal. It was refinished in Vanilla Shake as a single color finish rather than mimicking its original two-tone style. Its stainless steel trim was refurbished and its stylish original bumpers re-chromed to absolute perfection. A few liberties were taken in updating the exterior; an L.E.D third brake light, recessed into the gold Vee-trim of the trunk lid offers both safety and style as does the chromed 17" Coys five-spoke alloy wheels wrapped in aggressive 235/45 front and 265/35 rear Nexen rubber. Powering this dreamboat is a 350 cubic inch ZZ4 crate motor equipped with a steel four-bolt main block and topped off with aluminum heads, intake and an F.A.S.T fuel-injection system tweaked by Paul Powell Performance. Channeling all 355 horsepower is a four-speed 700R4 transmission spinning a 3.73:1 rear end. The suspension was completely redone and a pair of 2 ½ "drop spindles were also added to offer a much more aggressive stance. Rather than mess with success, the original style cloth and vinyl interior was retained with all new materials throughout. Some very subtle upgrades include a billet dash panel and pedal set, tilt steering, air conditioning and a gleaming red and chrome 1960 Impala steering wheel to cap it off.  The only thing missing is you behind the wheel.   Call 800-650-1055 or visit our website at www.autobarnclassiccars.com for more information. Stk. 1902  1955 Chevrolet Bel Air Convertible (Restomod)
Originally found and purchased in good condition from a gentleman in Kentucky, this stunning 1955 Chevrolet Bel Air Convertible was brought back home to North Carolina where it underwent a five year restoration that began in 2006. This VC 1067D code V-8 Bel Air convertible was originally built in Baltimore, MD with an original exterior color of Gypsy Red and Red and Beige interior as confirmed by its 525 Trim and 596 paint codes. A decision to change the original exterior color had been made and a ten mile deep coat of Onyx Black was laid down over its smooth, straight body panels. A custom touch to the rear was employed with the use of a bumper from a 55 wagon; moving the license tag from the trunk lid to the bumper. With beautifully polished stainless steel trim, and its glowing chromed grille, hood ornament and staggered Coys custom wheels emboldens this exterior to a whole other level. A perfect juxtaposition of contrast was created with the installation of supple red vinyl over a set of comfortable low back bucket seats split by an ingenious low-profile console that contains a set of six and a half-inch speakers and provides stereo sound to the rear. A black-faced Classic Instruments dash cluster with white markings creates a high-contrast balance against the glossy black dash stainless bow-tie trim. Vintage Air and Heat makes for much more comfortable year round cruising as does power front disc brakes, seats, steering and convertible top. Nestled between its matte black inner fenders is an aluminum fuel-injected LS1 Corvette mill with a hand made aluminum performance radiator, stainless steel headers and Paul Powell Performance tune that makes around four hundred horses. A 4L60E four-speed automatic transmission provides smooth and effortless shifts to a ten bolt 3:73 rear end for great highway cruising potential. Underneath all this rolling eye candy, the traditional front coil/ rear spring suspension was rebuilt and its stance enhanced with a two inch spindle drop. Cruising Carolina couldn't be finer than in this gorgeous Tri-Five drop top.  Call 800-650-1055 or visit our website at www.autobarnclassiccars.com for more information. ALL VEHICLES SOLD "AS IS"

Chrome, jet-age styling and rising horsepower drove the American automotive market during the late 1950s, and no automobile combined these three elements better than Chevrolet’s 1957 Bel Air convertible. Its unique styling and distinctive interior and exterior trimmings gave the impression of speed even while the car was at rest, and a growing list of factory options provided buyers with an unmatched opportunity to personalize their own Chevrolet.

Beautifully presented in Onyx Black with a black vinyl power-operated top and an equally tidy silver and red two-tone interior; this well-equipped Bel Air has benefitted from a cosmetic restoration. It is driven by a petrol powered V-8 engine and a column-shift automatic transmission. Other desirable conveniences consist of power windows, Wonderbar AM radio, dual antennas, dual mirrors, clock, bumperettes, whitewall tires, factory spinner hubcaps; power steering and brakes. The trunk is orderly with a mat, jack and spare.

The Bel Air was promoted as the “prettiest picture of top-down fun under the sun” in a large, yet economically-sized package. There were 16 handsome colors to choose from along with color-coordinated tops to either contrast or blend with the exterior choices. Lavish interiors were also a hallmark of this iconic 1957 Chevrolet Bel Air offering. This is one of the most reliable and certainly attractive cars of the era, this Bel Air is a safe bet from any angle. “There’s always the urge to explore on more hill- just for the fun handling of this car!”

MotoeXotica is pleased to announce another fantastic American classic, a stunning 1957 Chevrolet Bel Air. Arguably the 1957 Chevrolet is the most well-known classic American hot-rods, made famous in iconic hot-rod movie Two Lane Blacktop. These cars embody the American industrial superpower  mentality following the last world war; outlandishly styled body using chrome heavily and a large displacement V8 pushing an lavishly equipped interior down the road.

This stunning bright red Chevrolet Bel Air was restored, according to the previous owner, in 2006. The benefits from the restoration are clear, awesome paint, bright work, and straight body panels; make this classic Chevrolet an attention grabber! Custom louvers have been worked into the hood next to the trademark machine-gun hood ornaments. All of Bel Air emblems and trim pieces are accounted for and in place, in great condition too. SSC chrome wheels are paired with new radial 205/65R15 front tires and 225/70R15 rear tires, which cover the four wheel disc brake conversion.

The interior upholstery received the same diligent attention to detail as the exterior of this Chevrolet received. Both bench seats have been recovered in a black and red vinyl combination, along with black headliner and door panels. Drive selection was relocated using a B&M ratchet style floor mounted shifter. Please note that the horn is currently inoperable. Auxiliary MOTEC oil pressure, water temperature, and amp meter gauges have been installed and mounted cleanly under the original art deco dashboard. Also a three spoke steering wheel was placed on the power steering column and helps bring the interior of the car together.

Professionally built with little regard for expense this sleek Bel Air convertible is chock full of great craftsmanship. During an extensive rebuild every piece of the car's body was honed and fine-tuned until it was both solid and shapely. Once that body's panels exhibited a factory fresh appearance and displayed good fit and finish its surfaces were bathed in a fantastic coat of correct GM code 793 Onyx Black. And today the car sits as one rockin' tri-five cruiser that's sure to elicit double takes wherever it goes!

When the longer and lower '57 Chevrolets debuted they created just as much buzz as their twice removed ancestors. And in the course of only three years the Chevrolet division had transformed from a manufacturer of chunky runabouts to a brand that was extremely stylish and genuinely aspirational. At the front of this red hot drop-top a heavy body-width bumper hangs a proper gold Bel Air grille behind a pristine Chevrolet crest and two clear parking lights. Above that crest Bel Air-exclusive gold hood ornamentation sits between good looking '57 Chevy-exclusive 'spear bullet and spoons' and hooded T3 headlights. At the sides of those headlights classic tri-five stainless which connects the car's front fenders with its rear fins is accented by Bel Air-exclusive gold emblems. Above that stainless bright chrome window frames combine with correct chrome mirrors traditional chrome door handles and a fade-free black top to perfectly frame like-new glass. Below that stainless dent-free rocker moldings flow to optional black fender skirts that help create a sleek and solid profile. And behind those fender skirts peaked stainless trim begins at the top of the car's fins and continues down to '57 Chevy-exclusive tail lights a second body-width bumper and a stylish continental kit that mimics the car's gold-scripted decklid.

While this convertible is certainly one handsome cruiser we all know that looks aren't everything. Take a peek under its smooth rolled hood and you'll be happy to find a 283 cubic inch Super Turbo Fire V8 that props an April (04) 15th (15) 1957 Flint (F) build stamp above a correct 1957-specific 3731548 casting number. Consistently chosen over Rochester's much-hyped Ramjet fuel injection as GM's ultimate hot rod option this stout small block is widely regarded as the starting point of Chevrolet's amazing performance legacy. Those reliable Carter carburetors which inhale through traditional AC oil bath air cleaners bolt to a revised and tweaked intake manifold that's seated in a familiar glow of Chevy Orange paint. At the sides of that intake stamped Chevrolet valve covers hang over fully restored exhaust manifolds that funnel spent gases into true dual pipes. Behind that intake a traditional points distributor shoots fire through fresh 7mm suppression wires that are neatly loomed at the sides of the block. And in front of that intake a gloss black radiator circulates coolant through fresh GM heater hoses and authentic metal squeeze clamps. In addition to its killer powerplant this Bel Air offers a correctly detailed engine bay that's complete with stainless fuel lines proper decals an old school generator and even a reproduction Delco yellow cap battery. And aesthetically the car's satin black fenders blend seamlessly with its brightly adorned mill on the way to providing a natural contrast which oozes performance appeal!

Underneath this sharp Chevy you'll find a straight frame and solid floorpans that are finished in a familiar combination of traditional red oxide and subdued satin black. Behind the car's stout small block engine a sturdy 3-speed manual transmission which wears an application-correct 3845122 Saginaw casting number twists power through a factory rear end. Holding that solid drivetrain off the ground is a completely restored double A-arm front and leaf spring rear suspension that's been equipped with correct manual steering. Quick stops and excellent pedal feel come courtesy of rugged four wheel drum brakes. A first-rate soundtrack is provided by a factory replacement exhaust system which sends spent gases through free-flowing aluminized pipes and baritone turbo mufflers. All this head turning style rides on a correct set of 14 inch steel wheels which spin classy 7.50-14 BF Goodrich Silvertown white walls around pristine Chevrolet hubcaps. And everything from the car's bright blue shocks to its stainless steel fuel tank is clean functional and ready to go!

The spectacular cockpits in second generation Bel Airs need no introduction but here goes. Depress the button on this drop-top's bright chrome door handle and you'll find a gorgeous GM code 683 red and silver interior that stays completely true to the car's original scheme. The rebuilt front and rear bench seats are all-day comfortable and feature supple chrome trimmed hides that fit well and feel great. Beneath those seats fresh black carpet props rugged Bel Air-crested floor mats next to clean silver kick panels and bright Fisher-branded sill plates. At the edges of that carpet flawless two-tone door panels are anchored beneath sculpted red toppers and classy stainless frames. At the front of those panels a curvaceous dash is layered in bright red urethane spectacular chrome trim and a stylish bowtie-branded gauge pod. The driver spins a correct red steering wheel complete with a chrome horn ring and a classic Chevrolet Bel Air centerpiece around a chrome shifter for the car's 3-speed manual transmission. And passenger's store essentials in a freshly finished trunk that features a correct mat a correct jack correct decals and a second full-size spare tire.

1956 Chevrolet Bel Air - $44,900 - Charlotte, NC -

You might think that just because we look at the world's most beautiful cars all day every day that we'd be hard to impress here at RK Motors Charlotte. Fortunately that's not true and this lovely 1956 Chevy Bel Air is proof. I looked at the quality of the workmanship the level of detail and the parts that went into its construction then at the price and I was flabbergasted. We've had cars this nice before of course and they've all sold quickly for much bigger numbers than the one attached to this one. I'm urging you to take a good close look at the photos and note the details below because this car will probably not last more than three or four days on the showroom floor. Not a car this nice and definitely not at that price.

The ?56 Chevys were handsome cars and the variation of the original Dusk Rose and India Ivory colors on this one is gorgeous. Thanks to straight bodywork good gaps and proper panel alignment the wonderful paint scheme of this ?56 works extremely well. Restored cars are almost always nicer than stock and this one is no exception they weren't building Chevys this nice in 1956. Look how the trunk fits how straight and even the trim above the front grille is and the unbroken reflections in the side panels. The paint is two-stage DuPont urethane and while the Dusk Rose may have a little more pearl and metallic in it than original you can't argue that it isn't beautifully done.

All of the glass is new and it includes all new rubber gaskets window tracks channels and felt whiskers so that all the windows open and close effortlessly. All of the chrome and stainless throughout the car has been either restored or replaced and anyone who has restored a car from the ?50s knows that you'll spend a year's worth of house payments on the brightwork restoration alone. The stainless Bel Air trim that defines the sides of the car is bright and clear with no scratches or dings. Tail lights and parking lamps feature fresh lenses and the multi-colored Chevrolet emblems fore and aft are crisp and bright. As I said the detailing on this car is extremely well done.

Originally equipped with a 265 cubic inch V8 this Chevy now sports a 350 cubic inch GM Performance Parts crate engine. With 290 horsepower and 326 pounds of torque it's the perfect complement to the easygoing nature of the Bel Air and it runs happily on 87 octane fuel making it economical as well. Up top there's an Edelbrock 600 CFM 4-barrel on top of a polished Weiand Street Warrior intake and a matching set of finned valve covers and an aluminum air cleaner give it a vintage performance look. Cast iron cylinder heads feature 1.94-inch intake and 1.50-inch exhaust valves and help deliver good torque and useful mid-range power that make this car a wonderful highway cruiser. A Pertronix Flame-Thrower distributor lights the fires and a set of rams horn exhaust manifolds give it a period-correct look under the hood. Other useful upgrades include a big CoolCraft aluminum radiator and a 160 degree thermostat a dual master cylinder and an alternator delivering the amps. This one most definitely runs as good as it looks.

The original PowerGlide 2-speed automatic was replaced with an expensive TCI TH350 that also includes a new torque converter correct speedometer gear and a Lokar shift linkage that connects it to the original column-mounted shifter. In back the original rear end is full of 3.70 gears which give the old girl plenty of punch around town. The exhaust system consists of 2-inch pipes with a crossover feeding a pair of original style mufflers so it's mellow and quiet instead of obnoxious and rude. Up front the stock drum brakes were replaced with a set of ECI?s zero-offset disc brakes with 11-inch rotors and single-piston calipers from a late-model Camaro and they tuck into the stock wheels without modification. The rest of the braking system is stock but completely rebuilt with new lines hoses wheel cylinders and a residual valve. Springs ball joints tie rods and shocks are all relatively new making this ?56 feel like new on the road. New 15x5 chrome wheels wear color-matched 1956 Chevrolet bowtie hubcaps and a set of fresh 205/75/15 Diamondback wide whitewall radials.

The interior has been completely restored to stock specifications using original-appearing ivory vinyl and charcoal gray pattern cloth. There's new foam under the seat covers and the door panels carpets and headliner are all correct and fresh. All the wiring has been replaced and the fuse block has been upgraded to a Power Plus ATO panel for safety and future expansion. The gauges are new the clock has been upgraded with a quartz movement and a trio of auxiliary gauges hangs beneath the dash keeping an eye on the fresh crate motor. There's also a brand new SunPro tachometer on the steering column that looks like a period-correct accessory very cool. Finally the original AM radio has been upgraded with an AM/FM stereo setup from Vintage Auto Radio that includes an iPod interface cable. New Kenwood speakers were used in the stock locations and an additional pair of 6x9s was installed in the rear package shelf using traditional style grilles. The simple and properly restored trunk offers a new mat and a matching full-sized chrome wheel and whitewall radial tire along with a complete jack assembly.

This Bel Air's sale includes an original owner's manual restoration receipts a copy of the car's October 2010 Old Cars Price Guide cover feature and restoration photos that include images of its original 265 cubic inch V8.

No your eyes aren't deceiving you; ?that's the correct asking price. And yes I agree this is one heck of a lot of car for the money. There's easily twice our asking price tied up in its build. Nobody cut any corners the car is tight and motors down the highway just as you'd expect. This is a charming old Chevy that still rides and drives like a vintage piece but with a few smart modifications it's also safe efficient and reliable. If that sounds like a winning combination to you give your friends at RK Motors Charlotte a call!
